摘要： A method of manufacturing different shopping cart models is provided. The method includes providing multiple sets of base modules, providing at least one set of tubular side uprights, and selecting a base module from each of the different sets thereof. For each selected base module, selecting a pair of tubular side uprights from any one of the at least one set thereof. For each selected base module, aligning the mounting surfaces of the selected pair of tubular side uprights with the respective mounting surfaces of the selected base module, and securing the mounting surfaces together so that the upper portions of the selected tubular side uprights extend upward from the base module in parallel relation to each other. For each selected base module, mounting at least one shopping cart basket to the tubular side uprights.

摘要： The invention concerns a collapsible compartment of a shopping cart comprising a seat panel for closing leg holes avoiding small objects or groceries to fall out. The panel has a rear edge having a tube-shaped portion hingely connected to the swinging rear wall of the compartment. The panel may be urged in an up or down position thanks to a cam element positioned longitudinally on the tube-shaped portion so as to face a vertical wire of the swinging rear wall of the collapsible compartment acting as a spring. The cam is also positioned radially on the tube-shaped portion so as to strike the vertical wire when the seat panel is pivoted from either the down position to the up position or the up position to the down position. The invention is also directed to a shopping cart including the same collapsible compartment.

摘要： An attachment bracket for a shelf support system, adapted for being mounted to a post of square cross-section and for receiving a portion of a shelf unit therein, comprises a bracket. The bracket has a back wall defining a bottom, a top and vertical edges, and side arms, extending laterally from the vertical edges of the back wall, whereby defining outer surfaces and inner surfaces of the bracket. First protrusions are located on the inner surfaces of the bracket and are adapted for mating engagement with a corresponding indentation in the post for being vertically secured thereto. The side arms comprise slots adapted for supporting a portion of the shelf unit therein. The slots have friction edge portions, adapted for the captive engagement of the portion of the shelf unit therein. The inner surface of one of the side arms has a second protrusion at a predetermined distance from the back wall, whereby the bracket is adapted for snap-fitting engagement with the corner post. The inner surface of the back wall has a third protrusion, whereby adapted for biasing the bracket outwardly from the corner post when the bracket is matingly engaged therewith for forcing the portion of the shelf secured thereto against the post.

There are five distinct compartments which are shallow and formed of wire mesh to provide visibility of the articles in the compartments whereby a person can quickly examine the articles placed in each of the compartments to ascertain their nature. Also, the size and location of the compartments provides for the placement and separation of different types of articles which either need to be separated from one another and permit lower support for the placement of heavy objects. The provision of such multi-compartments also prevents articles from being damaged or odor contaminated by other articles positioned in the same compartments. Casters are disposed on the outer periphery of the frame of the shopping cart, wherein the load in the multi-compartments remains between the casters to provide stability, and preventing tipping of the shopping cart.
