摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency in cutting a cast etc. by radially arranging cutter elements each having a main and side cutting edges, and by conducting the cutting while the cutter element is strongly pressed to the periphery of a tubing with no core inserted. CONSTITUTION:A drive shaft 19 is rotated to advance and retract a cutter holder 2 along a guide through an intermediate gear 15, pinion 14, crank shaft 7, crank pin 10, and crank arm 13, and cutting is conducted while cutter elements 1 are strongly pressed to the periphery of a metal tubing 3 with no core inserted. Each cutter element 1 is equipped with a main 4 and side cutting edges 5. This provides cutting at a high speed with simple construction.

The vertical outer surface 2a and the horizontal lower surface 2b of the cutting grindstone are trued by a plasma discharge. Then without applying the voltage, the cutting grindstone 2 is trued mechanically by the truing grindstone 6, and while the outer periphery and lower surface of the cutting grindstone are dressed electrolytically, the outer periphery and lower surface are made to contact a workpiece 1 and process a micro-V groove. This method makes it possible to produce an immersion grating with a high resolution using hard, brittle materials such as germanium, gallium arsenide and lithium niobate.

摘要： A parenteral pharmaceutical preparation comprises a matrix containing a physiologically active peptide or protein and a polyglycerol diester of a saturated fatty acid, and the matrix is in a solid form at room temperature. The molecular weight of the physiologically active peptide or protein is 2,000 dalton or more. The saturated fatty acid includes fatty acids having about 16 to 30 carbon atoms such as palmitic acid, stearic acid, etc. The matrix may be in a pillar or granular form. The parenteral pharmaceutical preparation can be used as an injectable solid administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly (for example, a pellet or tablet for implantation), a suppository or the like, and can release the physiologically active peptide or protein sustainedly for a prolonged period of one week or more.

摘要： A device for fabricating a high-density microarray for cDNA or protein having an arbitrary pattern comprises an electrospray part for electrostatically spraying solutions containing a plurality of kinds of biologically active samples one by one, a support part supporting sample chips on which samples in the solutions sprayed from the electrospray part are deposited, a mask part disposed between the electrospray part and the support part and having holes the number of which is the same as that of the sample chips so as to selectively deposit the samples simultaneously in the adequate positions corresponding to the sample chips, a moving part for fabricating microarrays at a time by relatively moving the sample chip support part and the mask part and depositing the samples on the sample chips. Therefore the device can fabricate a large number of inexpensive high-density microarrays.
