摘要： A trim member for a vehicle having an excellent shock absorbing performance is provided. The trim member is provided in a car-room and has a surface opposite to a car-body member at a distance, a plurality of ribs capable of elastic and plastic deformation formed on the surface and extending in different directions crossing each other, a pedestal portion for abutting against the car-body member and an attachment portion to be fixed to the car-body member. The pedestal portion and the attachment portion are formed on at least one of crossing portions of the ribs.

摘要： A laser beam is directed from a ground potential site to a Faraday rotation element provided in the magnetic field produced by the current in high voltage transmission line. The Faraday rotation element rotates a plane of polarization of the laser beam in accordance with the intensity of the magnetic field. The laser beam is transmitted through the Faraday rotation element to a polarization analyzer at the site. The analyzer produces an output proportional to the magnitude of the current in the line. In another embodiment, waveguide means are used to direct an electromagnetic wave from a ground potential site to a Faraday rotation element in the magnetic field produced by the current in the high voltage transmission line and back to the ground potential site. The wave is transmitted and received along the same path between a pair of horn antennae.

The seat belt device has an anchor member attached to an upper portion of a vehicle pillar and comprises a shock absorbing member provided on the pillar, supported by the pillar in a direction from an exterior side to an interior side of a car-room, and deformable in a direction from the interior side to the exterior side; a connecting means for connecting the shock absorbing member with the anchor member; and a spacer member interposed between the shock absorbing member and the anchor member for keeping the anchor member apart from the pillar.

摘要： A carrier pilot relaying system in which the current flowing through the power transmission line in each electrical station is detected by a current transformer to be converted into a phase signal and a digital signal representing the magnitude (scalar quantity) of the current, these signals being transmitted from one station to another station in the form of a train of pulse signals. In each station, detection of the phase difference between the phase signals and detection of the difference between the magnitude of the currents are carried out independently of each other so that a circuit breaker can be tripped when a predetermined condition is satisfied.
