    • There is provided a battery pack system that allows an output limit during short-time discharging and long-time discharging of a secondary battery, and limits the output appropriately upon request of a vehicle. An output limiting section 104 is provided for changing a limit value of output electric power from the secondary battery when voltage data V (n) from a voltage measuring section 102 reaches a predetermined discharging termination voltage. The output limiting section 104 has short-time output information (Pp) for allowing short-time discharging of the secondary battery and normal output information (Pn) for allowing long-time discharging of the secondary battery, and sets a first discharging termination voltage (V1) during short-time discharging to be lower than a second discharging termination voltage (V2) during long-time discharging.

    • The present invention provides an apparatus for correcting a voltage of a secondary battery, wherein accuracy in measurement of battery voltages between battery blocks in different voltage measurement systems. In a battery ECU (101), the following components are disposed: a first voltage measuring part (102-1), a second voltage measuring part (102-2), a third voltage measuring part (102-3) and a fourth voltage measuring part (102-4) which are disposed in different voltage measurement systems so as to measure voltages of plural battery blocks; a representative voltage calculating part (105) for calculating representative voltages from battery voltages measured by the first to fourth voltage measuring parts; a voltage correction value calculating part (107) for calculating voltage correction values on the basis of the respective representative voltages; and a correction value reflecting part (109) for adding the voltage correction values to measured voltages of battery blocks in the respective corresponding voltage measurement systems.

    • A device and a method are provided in which memory effects can be cancelled by controlling charging and discharging of a secondary battery during driving of a vehicle. When a memory effect determinator determines that the discharging memory effect has occurred, based on at least one of the following determinations: whether a time of charging/discharging of a secondary battery has reached a predetermined time; whether a charging/discharging amount in the secondary battery has reached a predetermined amount; and whether a voltage per cell has reached a voltage V1 at a lower-limit state of charge in a range of capacity actually used, a discharging controller discharges the secondary battery until the voltage per cell reaches a voltage V3 that is higher than 1.0 V and is lower than the voltage V1 at the lower-limit state of charge.
