    • The present invention provides a driving method suitable for a plasma display. The plasma display includes multiple scan electrodes, multiple sustain electrodes and multiple address electrodes, for example. Successive frames are adapted to be displayed in repeating reset periods, address periods and sustain periods by applying driving signals to the scan electrodes, sustain electrodes and address electrodes. The driving method is characterized in that before inputting driving signals or when interrupting driving signals, a wall-charge removing signal is applied to the scan electrodes to remove/reduce the residual wall charges around the scan electrodes and the sustain electrodes. As a result, the possibility of the plasma display generating erroneously discharging with strong light at the restarting state can be effectively reduced.

    • A method for driving an alternating current plasma display panel (AC PDP) during a reset period is disclosed. Firstly, a first erase pulse, being positive in polarity and increasing in magnitude with time, is applied to a first electrode so as to remove wall charges from the pixel units. Then, a first priming pulse of negative polarity and a second priming pulse of positive polarity increases in magnitude with time and are respectively applied to the first electrode and a second electrode so as to produce the wall charges in the pixel units. Finally, a second erase pulse, being positive in polarity and increasing in magnitude with time, is applied to the first electrode so as to remove the redundant wall charges.

    • A rear substrate of plasma display panel comprises a substrate, a plurality of address electrodes, a plurality of auxiliary address electrodes, a rib and a fluorescent layer. The rib is disposed on the substrate to define a plurality of discharge spaces. Each of the address electrodes is disposed in each of the discharge spaces. The auxiliary address electrodes are disposed between the substrate and the rib. When an address signal is inputted to the address electrodes, the auxiliary address electrodes are grounded for reducing the probability of error discharge. During sustain period, the auxiliary address electrodes are coupled to a positive voltage for preventing ion bombardment of phosphors layer.
