    • According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a driving machine including: a driver blade for striking a fastener formed into an U-shape; a nose in which a launching passage is formed; and a magazine for feeding the fastener into the launching passage, wherein the magazine has a feeder for urging the multiple fasteners toward the launching passage, and the feeder has first and second convex sections each making contact with and urging respective needle of the U-shaped fastener; the nose has a blade guide for slidably guiding the driver blade; and the blade guide has first and concave sections for accommodating the first and second convex sections, the first and second concave sections being disposed alternately in the sliding direction of the driver blade.

    • A plunger is shiftable in response to a trigger operation by a user. A valve piston has a valve piston chamber therein for slidably accommodating the plunger and an axial bore into which the plunger is inserted. An air passage connects the valve piston chamber to an atmosphere via a clearance between the plunger and the axial bore of the valve piston. A seal member is provided to seal the clearance between the plunger and the axial bore of the valve piston. And, a relief passage is formed on at least one of the plunger and the axial bore of the valve piston to open the air passage, thereby allowing compressed air to exit from the valve piston chamber to the atmosphere under a condition where the plunger is engaged with the axial bore of the valve piston.

    • A rigid member is configured to move a valve member to separate the valve member from an engaging part when a push lever moves from a lower dead center to an upper dead center. A resilient member is configured to move the valve member to separate the valve member from the engaging part when the push lever moves from the lower dead center to the upper dead center. A switching part selects one of the rigid member and the resilient member to move the valve member to separate the valve member from the engaging part. When the switching part selects the rigid member, a fastener driving operation is performed regardless of an order of a pulling operation and a pressing operation.
