摘要： A digital broadcast transmission device generates channel combination information associating a plurality of physical channels. The digital broadcast transmission device divides a bit stream into a plurality of bit streams, the bit stream including program-related information having added thereto channel combination information, and transmits the divided bit streams on the plurality of physical channels, respectively. A digital broadcast reception device selects the plurality of physical channels using a plurality of front ends based on the channel combination information, and demodulates broadcast waves received on the plurality of physical channels, respectively. The digital broadcast reception device combines bit streams obtained from the demodulation, and outputs the combined bit stream. The digital broadcast reception device also simultaneously transmits a light bit stream on a different single physical channel, the light bit stream being a bit stream smaller in amount of information than the combined bit stream.

摘要： A set-top box is configured to mount therein a security device which stores security information on a broadcasting entity, and extracts transmission information for receiving a broadcasting signal modulated from a control signal from a head end. In the set-top box, it is detected that the security device is not mounted into a receiver, the demodulation mode for the broadcasting signal and/or the frequency of the broadcasting signal is changed to retrieve the broadcasting channel on which the transmission information on the broadcasting signal is transmitted, and then, the broadcasting signal on the retrieved broadcasting channel is received. When it is detected that a demodulator is synchronized with the broadcasting signal, the transmission information on the broadcasting channel is extracted from the demodulated broadcasting signal, the broadcasting signal is received based on the extracted transmission information on the broadcasting signal.

摘要： A plurality of wires are stretched in parallel through wire supplying-winding apparatuses and wire-tension adjusting apparatuses. A semiconductor-crystal bar is affixed on an ascent/descent table via a feeding table. The ascent/descent table is capable of being driven to ascend or descend by the ascent/descent apparatus. The wires and the semiconductor-crystal bar are dipped into a high-insulation oil, and discharging is created therebetween to perform cutting. If the resistance of the semiconductor-crystal bar exceeds 1 .OMEGA..multidot.cm, used inert gas is filled into a space within the interior space of an airtight vessel. Then, the high-insulation oil is heated by heaters and is kept at a temperature higher than 150.degree. C. to reduce the resistance of the semiconductor-crystal bar. Therefore, cutting is easily performed. The used inert gas can prevent fire from occurring due to the flaming of the high-insulation oil.
