摘要： In a machine tool wherein a turrethead for holding a rotary tool is mounted on a ram capable of holding a turning tool, the ram is bifurcated to provide a pair of spaced-apart legs. The turrethead is mounted between the legs of the ram. Comprising a mounting body and a cutter affixed thereto, the turning tool is removably mounted under the ram and turrethead, with its mounting body in close contact with both of the ram legs and with the turrethead, and is thus adapted for heavy cutting work. For thus mounting the turning tool, one or more headed pull studs are formed on its mounting body and are releasably engaged within a mounting hole or holes formed in the ram legs and/or turrethead.

摘要： An apparatus for angularly positioning a rotary member such as turn table, etc. by employing two separate motors.First motor is connected to drive the rotary member in a work operation and second servo motor is connected to drive the rotary member in a servo angular positioning movement.A power transmission mechanism is connected with the first motor to rotate the rotary member in the work operation and a coupling mechanism including a single position clutch therein is connected with the second motor to rotate the rotary member in the servo movement. A first detector is provided to detect a predetermined angular reference position of the single position clutch and a second detector is disposed to detect a predetermined reference position of the rotary member and thereby allowing the single position clutch to engage. A controller is connected with the second motor and with the first and second detectors to regulate the servo operation.

摘要： A method of working on a sloping surface of work is disclosed by means of a numerically controlled machine tool comprising a cutting tool carried by a spindle movable along three orthogonal axes, and a worktable rotatable both about its own axis and about another axis angularly displaced 45 degrees therefrom. The tool movements along the three axes and the worktable revolutions about the two axes are all controlled by a numerical control system, to which there are input prescribed data concerning the particular workpiece to be machined. The numerical control system is programmed to cause the machine tool to work, for example, on a conical surface or to drill one, two or more holes in preassigned positions on a sloping surface.

摘要： A dual spindle assembly is provided which has a hollow outer member having an inner member rotatably and eccentrically mounted therein. The inner spindle member has a mounting hole defined eccentrically in one end for engaging a cutting tool. In order to make possible a continuous change in the radius of revolution of the cutting tool about the axis of the outer spindle member, a plurality of worms extend parallel to the spindle assembly and are geared to one another for joint rotation. Ball nuts on the worms travel back and forth along the same with the bidirectional rotation thereof. Rigidly interconnecting the ball nuts, a connector surrounds the spindle assembly via a ring rotatably mounted therein. The ring has an inward projection making threaded engagement with the inner spindle member through a slot cut longitudinally in the outer spindle member. The linear travel of the ring with the ball nuts results in the rotation of the inner spindle member relative to the outer. The inventive method calls for the use of a multitip cutting tool having two or more tips of different characters disposed at equal distances from its axis of rotation. The spindle assemby makes it possible to use any one of the tool tips for boring or like operation with a desired cutting radius as the tool is mounted thereto in a prescribed angular position with respect to the outer and inner spindle members.

摘要： A drilling machine comprises a ram movable up and down on a carriage slidably mounted on a horizontal crossrail. A toolhead is mounted on the bottom end of the ram for pivotal movement about a horizontal axis at right angles with the crossrail and is pivoted to a desired angular position by a first drive shaft within the ram via bevel gearing. Rotatably mounted in the toolhead for rotation about an axis lying in a vertical plane is a toolholder which rigidly supports a drill and which is driven from a second drive shaft within the ram via bevel gearings. Preferably, the machine further comprises a rack-and-pinion mechanism driven from the second drive shaft for securely but releasably locking a turning tool at the bottom end of the ram, so that the machine can be used also for turning operation as a workpiece is rotated on a turntable. This turntable is of course held stationary during drilling operation.

The booklet album includes pages which are designated to bear selected original frames from a photographic film strip of a predetermined size. The photoprints are stacked in the order designated for each page. Each double-sided photograph, includes two photoprints, which are laminated with one transparent sheet on their front surface. The laminated sheets are folded between the photoprints. A customer may order such a booklet album by making desired selections on an order form. Stickers are provided on the form, and placed on desired frames of a film strip. The stickers have markings so as to indicate which page the desired printed frames are to be positioned as well as markings indicating the size and orientation of the printed frame.
