    • In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a multi-port bridge where problems in conventional virtual bridging are solved, and especially a multi-port bridge which can be managed with a program that manages only two-port bridges. The multi-port bridge comprises, in terms of hardware, one adapter such a TRN adapter 70 connected to one port 50, other adapters such as other ISDN adapters 71 to 77 connected to a plurality of other ports 51 to 57, and processor 86 for providing virtual bridges and a virtual Token-Ring between one adapter and other adapters.     • Provided are a method, system, and computer storage device for managing zone information for devices in a network. A zone group table includes entries for different pairs of zones, wherein each entry indicates whether access between a pair of the zones is permitted. An attribute zone table indicates whether devices in the zones are initiator, target and/or initiator/target. For a selected zone, indication is made of whether ports in the devices in the selected zone have an initiator, target and/or initiator/target attribute as indicated in the attribute zone table. A determination is made as to whether all the ports in the devices in the selected zone have the same attribute of initiator, target or initiator/target. If so, a division proposal is indicated for the selected zone proposing to separate devices in the selected zone into at least one new zone.

    • A system and method enables the reception of signals on a moving Personal Station (PS) within an Integrated Voice and Data (IVD) system which integrates sound and data, and comprises an available PBX and LAN. A first Cell Station (CS) registers the LAN identifier of a first PS that is positioned within its own radio cell, and assigns a PBX telephone number to the first PS. Subsequently, calling information which includes a LAN identifier for a second PS and the PBX telephone number assigned to the first PS is broadcast via a LAN. Thereafter, a second CS which registers the LAN identifier of the second PS receives the calling information via a LAN and transfers the information of the second PS, or mobile station, via radio link. The second PS then dials the PBX telephone number included in the calling information. Thus, the link between the first PS and the second PS is connected when the first PS receives the call.
