    • To provide an internal combustion engine control apparatus which is capable of obtaining an accurate air flow rate by using a thermal air flow rate detecting apparatus at the time when pulsation is caused. The internal combustion engine control apparatus according to the present invention is featured by including: storage means for storing a plurality of air flow rate conversion tables T1 and T2 used to convert a signal of a heating resistor 2 to an air flow rate; selection means for selecting a conversion table to be referred to from the plurality of conversion tables T1 and T2 stored in the storage means; and conversion means for converting a signal of the heating resistor 2 into an air flow rate by referring to the conversion table selected by the selection means, and is featured in that the selection means performs selection of the conversion table according to a state value which directly or indirectly indicates the state of air flow pulsation generated in a passage 64.

    • If a throttle valve is moved toward the mechanical full close position at high speed, the throttle valve may overshoot and collide against the full close position. This may damage and deform the throttle valve. It is an object of the present invention to set a lower limiter to the throttle valve so as to secure a margin to prevent such collision while attaining lowered fuel consumption or improved fuel efficiency.The above-mentioned object is attained by a throttle valve controller for an internal combustion engine, which comprises: a throttle valve which is driven by a motor; means for determining the target opening of the throttle valve based on the operating state of the vehicle or internal combustion engine; a first lower limit which is determined beforehand as the minimum target opening; and means for setting a second lower limit which is smaller than the first lower limit if the determined target opening is smaller than a predetermined opening and/or if the rotation speed of the internal combustion engine is lower than a predetermined speed.

    • An object of the invention is to provide a thermal air flowmeter which can reduce a detection error occurring during pulsating air flow due to a difference of response between rising and falling of detected flow or due to air flow dependence of response. A thermal air flowmeter 1 includes a heat-generating resistor 7 which heats liquid, a heating drive circuit 5 which causes current to flow in the heat-generating resistor 7 and thereby controls heating of the heat-generating resistor 7, and a temperature-sensitive resistor 9 which detects a temperature of the fluid heated by the heat-generating resistor 7. The thermal air flowmeter 1 detects a flow Q of the liquid based on the amount of heat of the liquid heated by the heat-generating resistor 7. Further included are: flow correction value calculating means 17 which calculates a flow correction value ca based on a variation dQ/dt of the detected flow Q and on a flow correction coefficient a set dependent on the detected flow Q; and flow correction means 18 which corrects the detected flow Q based on the flow correction value ca.
