摘要： There is provided an optical distance detection system which includes a light source and a detection device. The light source is configured to illuminate a surface of an object. The detection device is configured to receive a reflected light from the surface of the object and to output a distance of the object according to the reflected light. The detection device includes a sensing module and a calculation module. The sensing module is configured to receive the reflected light to accordingly generate an image. The calculation module is for outputting the distance according to a light spot position and a light spot size of the reflected light forming on the image.

摘要： A cursor control method for controlling a cursor on an image display includes: providing at least two reference points for generating light of a predetermined spectrum and defining a predetermined area; providing an image sensor pointing inside the predetermined area; receiving the light of the predetermined spectrum by the image sensor to form a digital image; identifying positions and shapes of the images of the reference points on the digital image to form a first parameter; performing distance and angle compensations on the first parameter; moving the aiming point of the image sensor inside the predetermined area to form a second parameter; and calculating an displacement of the images of the reference points on the digital image according to the compensated first and second parameters so as to accordingly control the cursor. The present invention further provides a cursor control apparatus.

摘要： A dynamic image compression method for human face detection includes the following steps. An original image is acquired. The image is divided into a plurality of blocks. A first brightness and a plurality of gradient values of each block are calculated. A second brightness of each block is calculated according to a brightness transformation function and the first brightness. A reconstruction image is generated according to the second brightness and the plurality of gradient values of each block. Human face detection is performed according to the reconstruction image. Therefore, gradient values within an original square are. When the human face detection process is performed through gradient direction information, a success rate of detection is greatly increased.

摘要： A method for coordinate generation to be implemented using an orientation device includes the steps of: providing at least three reference marks on a target; aiming the orientation device at an initial point on the target, and operating the orientation device such that the sensor is able to capture an image of the target that contains at least one of the reference marks; correlating a coordinate space of the orientation device with a coordinate space of the target; aiming the orientation device at a target point on the target, and operating the orientation device such that the sensor is able to capture an image of the target that contains the reference marks; and determining relative coordinates of the target point with reference to the established coordinate space relation and the captured image. An orientation device that performs the method is also disclosed.
