摘要： A conventional AV data receiving device switches to a key for distribution to an outdoor device when a network environment is switched to an outdoor network environment, thus resulting in high key switching frequency. In view of this, an AV data receiving device according to the present invention determines, after switching the network environment from indoors to outdoors as a result of moving the AV data receiving device, whether or not key switching should be performed, before a command for restricting a hop count on a route from an AV data transmission device located indoors is transmitted, and performs authentication and key exchange processing for outdoor device distribution, so as to switch to the key for outdoor device distribution.

摘要： A data transmission apparatus, a data reception apparatus, and a data transfer system prevent a case where same usable data is present in plural apparatuses at the same time and can certainly move data, in MOVE processing of the data between the data transmission apparatus and the data reception apparatus. The data transmission apparatus includes a synchronous control unit synchronizing a timing of (i) deleting or invalidating, in the data transmission apparatus, move-target data and (ii) decrypting, in the data reception apparatus, the move-target data that has been encrypted. With this, it becomes possible to prevent a case where the same usable data is present in plural apparatuses at the same time.

摘要： The conventional method of limiting the number of receiving apparatus has a problem that if the limited number of appliances is reduced to limit distribution to unspecified appliances outside a home, distribution to appliances in the home is limited unnecessarily. If the limited number of appliances is increased, distribution to appliances outside the home cannot be sufficiently limited. The invention provides at least one receiving apparatus, (e.g., digital television sets and PCs,) connected to a network and capable of receiving and using predetermined data, and a transmitting apparatus, (e.g., an AV server) for transmitting the data to the receiving apparatus via the network. Use of the data on the network is managed based on the transmission time required for transmission of predetermined information between the transmitting apparatus and the receiving apparatus.

摘要： To provide a packet transmitter apparatus which can transmit contents protected by a content protection technique such as DTCP or the like, using packets such as IP packets which have become widespread. The packet transmitter apparatus includes a transmitting condition setting management unit (404) which extracts at least one of charge information, playback control information and copy control information of AV data from the inputted non-AV data or AV data and generates, based on the extracted information, encryption mode information indicating an encryption mode which becomes a condition at the time of transmitting the AV data; an encrypted data generation unit (406) which generates encrypted data by encrypting, based on the transmitting condition, the inputted AV data and adding encryption information headers based on the encryption mode information to the encrypted AV data; and a packet generation unit (403) which generates packets by adding packet headers to the generated encrypted data.
