    • A fixed abrasive grain wire saw that can improve precision of a cut plane of a workpiece and grinding efficiency and can prolong product life, a method of manufacturing the fixed abrasive grain wire saw, and a method of machining a workpiece by the fixed abrasive grain wire-saw. To fasten abrasive grains to an outer circumferential surface of a metal core wire, a plurality of transfer rollers, in each of which many tiny holes filled with an adhesive are formed, are used to transfer the adhesive to the outer circumferential surface of the core wire to form, on the outer circumferential surface, a plurality of rows of punctiform adhesive layers that are linearly arrayed in the axial direction at regular intervals. The abrasive grains are tentatively fastened to the adhesive layers, after which the abrasive grains are permanently fastened with a metal plated layer formed by electrolytic deposition.

    • An electric-motored floor-surface polisher includes a pair of pads juxtaposed in the front and rear or lateral direction of an apparatus frame, each pad being slidably supported to the apparatus frame. A drive pulley coupled to an output shaft of an electric motor to be rotated therewith. The polisher includes a pair of pad driving members, each pad driving member having an input pulley portion operably coupled with the drive pulley via a toothed belt and having also an output portion provided at a portion of the driving member offset from a rotational axis of the input pulley portion to be rotatable therewith and a pair of pad operating rods, one of the pair of pad operating rods having one end thereof pivotally coupled with the output portion of one of the pair of pad driving members and the other end thereof pivotally coupled with the one of the pair of pads and the other pad operating rod having one end thereof pivotally coupled with the output portion of the other pad driving member and the other end thereof pivotally coupled with the other pad. With this, the pair of pad operating rods slidably reciprocate the pair of pads along the juxtaposing direction thereof and in directions opposite to each other.

The bending insertion instrument is inserted through the channel of the endoscope such that a portion of the bending insertion instrument, which includes the shape memory alloy wires is located in the channel of the endoscope, and a bending portion of the bending insertion instrument which includes the angle wire is located at the distal end portion of the bending insertion instrument and is projected through the port of the endoscope.

    • A polyetheresteramide having good heat resistance, permanent antistatic property and superior compatibility with thermoplastic resins and a resin composition containing the polyetheresteramide are disclosed, wherein the polyetherester-amide consists essentially of a polyamide oligomer with carboxylic chain ends having a number average molecular weight between 200 and 5,000 and a bisphenol compound with oxyalkylene units having a number average molecular weight between 300 and 3,000. Antistatic resin compositions with good antistatic property and heat resistance are obtained from compositions comprising 3 to 40% by weight of the polyetheresteramide and 60 to 97% by weight of thermoplastic resins. The antistatic resin compositions can contain as compatibilizers vinyl polymers having functional groups such as carboxyl and epoxy groups or block polymers containing polyolefin blocks and aromatic vinyl polymer blocks. To further improve the antistatic property of the resin composition a composition comprising at least 97% by weight of the polyetheresteramide and at least 0.01% by weight of an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal halide can be used in the same way as the polyetheresteramide.
