    • This invention relates to a swash plate compressor wherein a cylinder block assembly (1a) is provided with an intake passage (17) through which a refrigerant gas containing misty lubricant supplied from an external cooling circuit passes and a cylindrical separation chamber (22) that opens towards the direction of inflow of the refrigerant gas containing the lubricant is formed in the shape of a protuberance (21) on the inner wall of this passage (17). A communication port (23) for the inflow of the lubricant, which interconnects the separation chamber (22) with a swash plate chamber (4) is bored in the inner bottom (22a) of the separation chamber (22) so that the refrigerant gas containing the lubricant enters the chamber (22) in the intake passage (17), then impinges against the inner wall (22b) and the bottom wall (22a) and, after being deflected there, is caused to flow again into the intake passage (17) via the opening.
