摘要： Disclosed is a method for channel estimation and feedback in a wireless communication system that estimates a channel for each transmission antenna using an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) impulse signal. A method for channel estimation in a wireless communication system includes causing a base station to generate a training signal with a specific waveform for each transmission antenna and to transmit the generated training signal to terminals; causing the terminals to acquire a downlink channel impulse response for each transmission antenna of the base station using the training signal transmitted from the base station; causing the terminals to acquire a downlink channel characteristic for each transmission antenna of the base station using the acquired channel impulse response; causing the terminal to feed back the acquired downlink channel characteristic information to the base station; and causing the base station to perform fast Fourier transform (FFT) on the downlink channel in¬ formation transmitted from the terminals to indirectly acquire full channel status information (CSI).

摘要： The present invention relates to a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system for enhancing transmission performance. The MIMO system uses space-time encoding and transmit antenna selection methods, and includes a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter includes N transmit antennas that are more than M transmit antennas used for transmitting a signal to a space channel, selects the M transmit antennas among the N transmit antennas, and transmits a symbol by space-time encoding the symbol. The receiver includes M receive antennas for receiving a signal from the space channel, detects an information symbol by using the signal received through the receive antenna, generates transmit antenna selection information for selecting M transmit antennas among N transmit antennas with reference to a channel estimate, and returns the information to the transmitter.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for constructing a downlink frame in a mobile data communication system using an OFDMA method. To construct the downlink frame, a single preamble is arranged at the head of the downlink frame, and a plurality of data symbols are arranged following the preamble. Then, a plurality of pilot symbols are inserted between the data symbols over the downlink frame at a predetermined period. Accordingly, a channel variation can be rapidly tracked using the preamble and pilot symbols. Furthermore, interference between adjacent cells is minimized and averaged to make a frequency reuse rate be 1, such that arrangement of multiple cells can be easily designed.

摘要： The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for symbol mapping. The encoder, for example a systematic encoder, of the symbol mapping apparatus encodes transmission data (S410) and outputs data in which a plurality of redundancy bits are added to a plurality of information bits. A puncturer punctures the information bits and the redundancy bits (S420). An information interleaver interleaves the punctured information bits, and a redundancy interleaver interleaves the punctured redundancy bits (S430). Finally, the symbol mapper maps the interleaved information bits and the interleaved redundancy bits onto the symbols (S440). The average log-likelihood ratio (LLR) value of mapped information bits is different from the average LLR value of the mapped redundancy bits.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for configuring an uplink frame in an OFDMA based wireless communication system. The total band of the uplink frame is divided into a predetermined number of subcarrier groups. Subcarriers within the respective allocated subcarrier groups are allocated to the subchannel defined for a predetermined number of consecutive symbols defined by slots in the uplink frame. Pilot subcarriers are allocated by the unit of the predetermined number of symbols so as to allow channel estimation from among the allocated subcarriers. Accordingly, data subcarriers are allocated by minimizing collision with specific users of adjacent cells so as to enable channel estimation using preambles in a cellular system, and some positions of the data subcarriers are allocated for pilots, thereby allowing synchronous demodulation and improving frequency reuse rates.

摘要： The present invention relates to a maximum ratio combining method of spatial-filtered received signals and an apparatus using the same. For this purpose the present invention provides a method for receiving signals by using a plurality of antennas that form a linear array antenna, multiplying a plurality of weight vectors by the received signals, summing the multiplication results for each weight vector, and combining the summing results by using maximum ratio combining. According to the present invention, signals are dividedly received by applying spatial filtering for a receiving direction of each signal and performance can be improved by combining the received signals by using maximum ratio combining. In addition, performance of an MRC-rake and a beam forming gain can be simultaneously acquired according to the present invention.

摘要： Disclosed is a subcarrier assignment method in a multicarrier communication system, e.g. an OFDM communication system. A frequency bandwidth is divided into a plurality of groups having a predetermined number of contiguous subcarriers, a (p n -1, 1, p n -1) Reed-Solomon code on the Galois Field (p n ) to which identifiers are added according to primitive elements is used, a subcarrier is selected from each group to generate a subchannel, and the generated subchannel is assigned to a base station user. Accordingly, the subcarrier assignment method provides easy cell planning even when using a considerably short Reed-Solomon sequence.
