    • The collation Fourier image data (Fig. 1D) FB, which is the two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform (DFT) of image data (Fig. 1C) of a collation pattern, is combined with the two-dimensional DFT of registered Fourier image data (Fig. 1B) FA, and the resultant data is processed for amplitude limitation and for its two-dimensional DFT. A correlation peak is extracted from correlation components appearing in the data (Fig. 1E) of the combined two-dimensional DFT, and a predetermined region including this correlation peak is masked (Fig. 1F). The masked image data is processed to obtain its two-dimensional inverse DFT with the amplitude restored, then combined again with the registered Fourier image data FA, and processed to determine its two-dimensional inverse DFT. Consequently, image data including a different pattern or a transferred pattern are obtained as shown in Fig. 1G.

    • A yarn break detector of the sampling type has a collecting electrode type sensor to which a continuously moving yarn is lightly contacted. Current, based on charges of static electricity generated by the sensor, flow through a DC to pulse converter so as to be converted to a corresponding voltage which in turn is converted to a pulse signal when a sampling switch of the DC to pulse converter is closed. The pulse amplitude of the converted pulse is changed depending upon the presence or absence of the yarn to be monitored. Said converted pulse signal is then transmitted to a signal handling circuit which detects a predetermined pulse signal relating to the absence of the yarn and amplifies it so as to operate a load such as an alarm, thereby detecting the condition that the yarn has broken.

    • A four-sided pushbutton 1 projecting from the top of a housing 4 is secured to a switch-actuating rod 3 traversing a lamp holder 7 which supports the sockets of four pilot lamps 8, this holder consisting of two superposed and fixedly interconnected plates 71, 72 rotatably bracketing a flange 91 of a guide sleeve 9 for the rod in axially fixed position with reference to the holder. Upon depression of the pushbutton, the lower end of the rod operates a switch structure b; a cross-pin 33 on the rod normally engages in a pair of diametrically opposite longitudinal slots 92 of the sleeve to entrain the latter rotatorily for detaching a pair of lugs 93 at the foot of the sleeve from respective shoulders 52 in a depending neck 5 of the housing whereby, upon sufficient withdrawal of the pushbutton from the housing to enable its rotation, the lamp holder, the sleeve and the pushbutton with its rod can be bodily extracted from the housing as the cross-pin rises to the top of the slots at the level of the flange 91 to bear from below upon the upper holder plate 71. Such rotation is prevented in a lower position of the pin 33 by a projection 72d depending from the lower holder plate 72; another projection 43, rising from the housing bottom, coacts with the depending projection 72d to insure correct reinsertion of the extracted unit into the housing. Proper relative orientation of the pushbutton and the pilot lamps is insured by an indexing spring 74 which normally fits into an elongate notch 31 on one side of the rod 3 to allow depression of the pushbutton 1 but which falls into another, lower notch 34 on the opposite side of the rod, blocking a descent thereof, if the pushbutton is rotated in the wrong sense to re-engage the lugs 93 of the sleeve with the shoulders 52.

    • A yarn break detector having a collecting electrode type sensor to which a continuously moving yarn is lightly contacted. A gate electrode of a field effect transistor is connected to the sensor and a relay circuit is connected in series to a drain electrode of the transistor. Normally, the field effect transistor of high input impedance is operated to its one condition by the collected electric charges from the continuously moving yarn. When the yarn break or cutting off occurs, the collected charges on the sensor disappear and then the field effect transistor is changed into its other condition, thereby the relay circuit produces an alarm signal.
