    • PURPOSE:To make the title treatment by sterilizing, while grinding, a rock fiber formed product used in growing beds or seedling beds to utilize said formed product otherwise to be discarded. CONSTITUTION:A grinder (a) and a pelletizing machine (b) are separated from each other when rock fiber formed products B are ground while being sterilized. For the grinder (a), a guide gutter 13 is actuated to open a delivery port (1a) on the side of a machine frame 1, while a second delivery port (1b) on the lower face of the machine frame 1 is made closed by a floor plate 14. Thence, in this state, a hopper 3 of the grinder (a) is driven and rotated, and the hopper 3 is successively charged with formed products B to be ground; at the same time, a sterilizing solution is applied on the formed products through a port 4 provided within the hopper 3 or within or in the front of the delivery port (1a). Thereby, said formed products B repeatedly used in growing beds or seedling beds and contaminated with miscellaneous bacteria and in such a state that many roots are left stretched, are linearly ground and discharged through the port (1a) in such a state that the resulting ground product S is impregnated with the sterilizing solution.
