    • A strong network structure formed by intertwining synthetic fiber monofilament, and a process for producing same. This network structure has meshes constituted by (2) intertwined parts (reinforced parts) and (1) non-reinforced parts (linear parts). Each mesh has six sides, at least two of which are constituted by said intertwined parts (reinforced parts) (2) and, in each mesh, two opposing sides are both intertwined (or reinforced) parts (2) or non-intertwined (or linear) parts (1). This network structure is produced by interweaving a synthetic fiber monofilament into the network of the above-described structure in a heated state to a temperature not lower than the second order transition temperature but lower than the melting point of the filament, then cooling the product to fix. This network structure is mainly used for cultivating aquatic products or as a building material.
