摘要： A connecting device is provided to connect a fan blade to a rotor of a motor of a ceiling fan. The connecting device includes a bottom member (22) disposed transverse to and rotated about an axial direction of the rotor. A circumferential wall (25) extends upwardly from a periphery of the bottom member (22). A mounting arm (40) has an anchored end (45) adapted for mounting the fan blade thereon, and an anchoring end (41) disposed to be brought to anchor on the bottom member (22) such that the mounting arm (40) is oriented in a radial direction relative to the bottom member (22). A limiting unit (43,30) is disposed between the anchoring end (41) and the bottom member (22) to limit further movement of the anchoring end (41) relative to the bottom member (22) once the anchoring end (41) is pulled away from the bottom member (22). At the same time, a biasing member (50) is disposed to bias the anchoring end (41) to move away from the bottom member (22). By virtue of the limiting unit (43,30) and the biasing member (50), the anchoring end (41) can anchor on the bottom member (22) steadily and conveniently.

A tightening member (411,321,45,35) is disposed to tighten the anchoring end (41) relative to the bottom member (30a) through a clamping force generated in a circumferential direction of the bottom member (30a) when the anchoring end (41) is pulled away from the bottom member (30a) in the radial direction. A retaining member (42) is disposed between the tightening member and the anchored end (43) in the radial direction, and has an engaging spring member (422) that abuts against the circumferential wall (30b) once the anchoring end (41) is moved away from the bottom member (30a).

A restraining member (60) has at least two engaging portions (61) at its inner periphery (602) for sliding engagement with the arms (43) so as to move from a first position where the engaging portions (61) act against the biasing action of the distal portions (43b), to a second position where the engaging portions (61) act against the biasing action of the proximate portions (43a). A lampshade (70) has an annular upper wall (71) and a skirt portion (72). When the upper wall (71) is brought to receive the distal portions (43b) while the restraining member (60) is at the first position, it will push the restraining member (60) toward the shank (80). When the upper wall (71) continues to push the restraining member (60) to the second position, the skirt portion (72) will be biased by the distal portions (43b).
