    • A sorting apparatus for sorting products comprises an endless conveying element comprising a support surface. The support surface makes an angle with a horizontal plane, at least at the location of the outlets, about an axis parallel to the conveying direction. The sorting apparatus further comprises locking elements arranged one behind the other, as seen in the conveying direction, which move along synchronously with the conveying element and which can be unlocked independently of each other, which locking elements function to hold the products in place on the support surface. Upon activation of a selected unlocking mechanism, a product is moved downwards from the conveying element towards the outlet under the influence of the force of gravity being exerted thereon.

    • A conveyor is provided for conveying and buffering articles (G) and the like along a vertically extending, substantially helical path. A conveying assembly such as a conveyor belt or conveyor rollers is supported by a frame and driven by a drive unit and extends along said helical path and conveys articles along said path. The substantially helical path is divided into zones (Z), each zone being provided with switch members, in such a manner that the conveyor can be switched in each zone between a conveying position, in which the conveying assembly conveys the articles, and a buffering position, in which the articles present in said zone are stationary. Buffering devices distributed over the length of the conveyor and being present in each zone support the articles in the buffering position. The drive unit and/or the conveyor belt/rollers on the one hand and the buffering devices on the other hand are vertically movable with respect to each other in each zone (Z), in such a manner that the articles (G) in question are in contact with the drive unit in the conveying position and with the buffering devices in the buffering position in said zone. In this way a simple and reliable buffering system can be realised.

    • A conveyor for transporting parcel goods and the like over a track comprises a frame and an endless conveyor belt comprising a transport portion and a return portion, which is supported by the frame and which is driven by a driving device. The conveyor belt is provided with a number of elongated (in transverse direction), substantially rigid supporting elements, which are directly or indirectly interconnected and which can pivot relative to each other at least about an axis parallel to the plane of transport and perpendicularly to the direction of transport. Movable cover flaps projecting from the supporting elements in the longitudinal direction of the conveyor are formed on at least a number of supporting elements, wherein the length dimension of the flaps is such that each is capable of covering at least one gap to an adjacent supporting element.

After having been processed to compositions, the compounds may be used for the control of aphids in agriculture, horticulture and forestry in a dosage from 20 to 5,000 g of active substance per hectare.
