摘要： A network printer and a method of setting an internet protocol (IP) address of a network printer in which an IP address unused in other network devices is set using a ping test and a network port scan test when an IP address of the network printer is inputted. The method includes receiving the IP address of the network printer inputted by a user, examining whether the inputted IP address is used in other network devices, and requesting the user to input another IP address, if the inputted IP address is used in other network devices. Further, the examining operation includes performing a ping test using the input IP address, and if the ping test has not performed successfully, performing a network port scan test to determine whether network ports of the other network devices are open, using the inputted IP address.

摘要： Disclosed is a network system and a method for using an IGMP snooping function and an IGMP proxy function to perform communications between a device using a private IP address and a server using a public IP address. To that end, a host having the public IP address transfers data of the device to the server having the public IP address. The server uses the IGMP snooping function and a multicast address of the device, including the received data, to transfer the data to a corresponding device. In addition, the device transfers an IGMP report packet with respect to an IGMP query-packet to transfer information about whether the device is normal, and the server transfers the information to the host when the device is abnormal.

摘要： A data-security printing method and a data-security printing system capable of preventing one-way encryption cracking (Brute-Force Attack), by randomly specifying a port to transmit printer data between a printer driver and a firmware using an authentication protocol and then transmitting the printer data. The data-security printing system includes a terminal and a network printer, wherein the terminal transmits a protocol frame for user authentication to the network printer and transmits the data to the network printer through a temporary data path formed as a result of the user authentication, and wherein the network printer receives the protocol frame from the terminal, execute the user authentication, receives the data from the terminal through the temporary data path formed as a result of the user authentication, and prints the received data. As a result, it is possible to prevent one-way encryption cracking (Brute-Force Attack).
