The connecting patterns, which connect adjacent first sensing cells and adjacent second sensing cells are formed on the same level of the lower surface of the upper substrate of the flat panel display of the same material as metal patterns formed around the edge of the touch screen panel, and by arranging the connecting patterns not to cross each other. The flat panel display panel can also be integrated with a touch screen having improved visibility by forming the touch screen panel on the upper substrate of the flat panel display such that connecting patterns are formed in the regions between the pixels.

摘要： A liquid crystal display (LCD) includes a first substrate having an array of wiring lines and pixel regions. The pixel regions have pixel electrodes, thin film transistors with drain electrodes, and storage capacitors. The LCD also includes a second substrate having color filters, black matrices, opened regions to receive external light positioned in regions in which the black matrices are not positioned, and transparent common electrodes. Liquid crystal is between the first and second substrates. The opened regions correspond to first regions in which the drain electrodes and the pixel electrodes are connected and second regions in which the storage capacitors are positioned. In one embodiment, the liquid is driven in a normally white mode when the LCD is driven in a transmissive mode, and is driven in a normally black mode when the LCD is driven in a reflective mode.

摘要： A method for fabricating LCDs based on a plastic film is disclosed. The disclosed method comprise the steps of: attaching a double-sided adhesive tape to a supporting plate using one side thereof; fixing a plastic film substrate onto the supporting plate using an unused side of the double-sided adhesive tape after putting the plastic film substrate and the supporting plate with the double-sided adhesive tape attached thereto through a predetermined thermal treatment to thereby form a lower substrate including the supporting plate, plastic film substrate and the double-sided adhesive tape therebetween; preparing an upper substrate using the steps described above; conducting a substrate forming process on each of the lower and the upper substrates; depositing an orientation film on both the lower substrate and the upper substrate, and rubbing the orientation film; detaching the plastic film substrate from the supporting plate of the lower and the upper substrates to form a plastic front substrate and a plastic rear substrate; spraying spacer particles on one of the plastic front substrate and the plastic rear substrate, and dispensing a sealant on the other substrate; and joining the plastic front substrate and the plastic rear substrate at a distance, injecting a liquid crystal material through an injection opening, and closing the injection opening to thereby form a plastic film liquid crystal display.
