    • A back light unit is disclosed, which improves condensing efficiency of light and viewing angle characteristics. The back light unit includes at least one lamp generating light, a light guide plate emitting light across a surface thereof using the light generated from the lamp, a diffusion sheet arranged above the light guide plate to diffuse the light passing through the light guide plate, a first condensing sheet condensing the light from the diffusion sheet using a plurality of first elliptical condensing patterns arranged on the diffusion sheet in a first direction, and a second condensing sheet further condensing the light from the first condensing sheet using a plurality of second elliptical condensing patterns arranged on the first condensing sheet in a second direction crossing the first direction.

    • Disclosed is a liquid crystal display (LCD) device in which low power LEDs with a dual lens structure re configured for application in a backlight device to increase the optical efficiency at low power, thus enhancing the brightness, such LCD device including: a lower cover; PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) disposed on the lower cover for receiving power from the exterior; a main body mounted on the PCBs; R, G and B LED (Light Emitting Diode) devices disposed on the main body for emitting light; a first lens having a first curvature and mounted on the main body and housing the R, G and B LED devices; a second lens covering the outside of the first lens and having an inner curved surface with a second curvature having a varying radius of curvature, and an outer curved surface with a third curvature, wherein the second curvature of the inner curved surface is gradually increased from an edge portion toward a central portion; and a liquid crystal panel spaced apart from the second lens by a certain interval and to which light is provided.

    • In a liquid crystal display (LCD) device, an LED PCB with the reflection layer formed on surface thereof is installed at an upper side of the LED array and a reflection plate extends such that it sufficiently covers the lower portion of the LED array to thus make light emitted from the light source incident to its maximum level, thus coping with the reduction in the quantity of light resulting from making the LCD device thinner. The LCD device includes: a liquid crystal panel; an LED array supplying light to the liquid crystal panel; a light guide plate installed in a direction in which the LED outputs light, and guiding light; a reflection plate formed between the LED array and a lower portion of a lower cover; and an LED PCB attached to an upper portion of the lower cover at an upper side of the LED array and having a reflection layer formed at a side facing the light guide plate. Because an existing LED housing reflector is removed, a cost and processing time can be reduced and an assembling process is simplified to improve a defective rate and production yield.
