摘要： A powered cutting tool for locating objects behind sheet material and subsequently cutting around the object. The tool incorporates at least one sensor having a transceiver emitting signal to detect at least one from the group of object density, conductivity, depth, and identification. The sensor is housed within a sensor unit that is affixed to the body of the cutting tool. The sensor unit can be integral with, or removable from, the cutting tool. A marking unit is used to mark the cutting area of the sheet material and is generally integral with, or located near, a sensor unit. Indicator members, such as lights, audio, and/or display screen, are used to provide information to the user.

摘要： A method of analyzing characteristics of a subterranean formation includes transmitting a signal at least partially into a material of the subterranean formation such that the signal is transformed in a manner indicative of a characteristic of the material, receiving the transformed signal from the material, converting the transformed signal into image data indicative of the characteristic of the material, applying a first set of machine executable rules to the image data to produce segmented image data, wherein portions of the image that are sufficiently related according to the applied rules are grouped into segments, and analyzing, according to a second set of machine executable rules, the segmented image data to produce a geological profile of the subterranean formation.

摘要： A method for making low density (0.8-1.1 lb/cu.ft.) expanded polymeric products uses blowing agent in an amount of only from 2 to 4.4 weight percent. The process uses 2 to 5 expansion steps together with a polymer having a particular polydispersity, weight average molecular weight and Mz:Mn, this polymer having a greater expandability than conventional polymers. The process requires only about half of the amount of blowing agent currently being used in commercially viable processes for making expanded polystyrene products. The process can be used with or without a molding step.

摘要： 932,176. Joint-making packing. W. H. JACOBS. March 14, 1961 [Sept. 23, 1960], No. 9355/61. Class 122 (3). A sealing gasket comprises a generally tubular body 20, Fig. 3, from which bendable flanges 21, 22 extend in their unstressed condition radially and respectively inwardly and outwardly and are adapted to sealingly engage respectively the refrigerating element 11 and the storage tank 13a of a beverage dispenser, Fig. 5, so that the flange 21 lies substantially coplanar with the body 20 and the flange 22 surrounds and lies substantially parallel to it. The gasket may be of soft rubber. The body 20 has a thickened portion 20a and circumferential fins 23. The flange 21 has a bead 24 around its inner rim and the flange 22 is formed with an upwardly-projecting rim 25. For installing the gasket the latter is pushed over the element 11 and flange 21 is bent upwards whilst the body 20 is stretched, causing the flange 22 to bend downwards. The tank 13a is then lowered over the element 11 and pressed around the flange 22 and down on to the rim 25, the resulting compression of the fins 23 forcing the flange 22 tightly against the tank.
