    • An auction service is provided that stimulates competition between energy suppliers (i.e., electric power or natural gas). A bidding moderator (Moderator) receives offers from competing suppliers specifying the economic terms each is willing to offer to resellers or customers of resellers for estimated quantities of electric power or gas supply (separate auctions). Each supplier receives feedback from the Moderator based on competitors' offers and has the opportunity to adjust its own offers down or up, depending on whether it wants to encourage or discourage additional energy delivery commitments in a particular geographic area or to a particular customer group. Each supplier's offers can also be changed to reflect each supplier's capacity utilization. The Moderator selects at least one supplier to provide electric power or natural gas to each reseller or customer of a reseller, with each supplier providing at least a portion of the electric power or natural gas to be used by each reseller or customer of a reseller during a specific future time interval.

    • A movable arm 10 engages a flexible line 50 at a well site for positioning the flexible line between run-in position for passing the flexible line with a tubular through a well hole in the rig floor and a clamping position wherein the flexible line is adjacent the tubular above the rig floor for clamping the line to the tubular. The arm 10 extends upward from the rig floor 70, and includes a line guide, such as roller 12, for engaging the flexible line when in the run-in position. A powered drive 14 moves the arm between the run-in position and the clamping position. A spacer 82 may be used for positioning two or more flexible lines at a desired spacing relative to one another prior to positioning the lines within a clamp secured to the tubular. A slip bowl assembly 60 may be laterally movable so that slips do not engage the flexible line as it is run in the well.

    • An emissive toner composition for producing an emissive image component of an image indicia on a substrate. The emissive toner composition includes a photoluminescent agent, a charge control agent, and one or more additives, each selected and present in an amount such that when the toner composition is printed to produce an image component on a substrate, the toner composition has stable spectral characteristics. In one embodiment, the emission spectra of the image component printed on the substrate, for irradiation with an excitation energy includes only dominant emission peaks corresponding to one or more emission peaks of the photoluminescent agent. In another embodiment, the image component has a photoluminescent toner stability factor of about greater than or equal to 25.

    • This invention provides processes for isolating particles from an emulsion including the steps of: (a) forming an emulsion having a solid component having a population of particles, a liquid component, and a first ionic forming compound, wherein the presence of the first ionic forming compound in the emulsion does not result in the coagulation of the population of particles contained therein; (b) obtaining a composition having a second ionic forming compound which, by itself, is not sufficient to result in the coagulation of the population of particles contained in the emulsion; and (c) mixing the emulsion and the composition having the second ionic compound such that the first ionic forming compound reacts with the second ionic forming compound to form a coagulating agent which results in the coagulation of the population of particles. The invention also provides processes for preparing a polymer matrix system using the aforementioned process for isolating particles from an emulsion. In these processes, the plastic matrix system is prepared by adding, to a plastic resin, the emulsion and the composition having the second ionic forming compound, such that the first ionic forming compound reacts with the second ionic forming compound to form a coagulating agent which results in the coagulation of the population of particles.
