    • A process is provided for operating a vehicle transmission with preferably electrohydraulically actuatable friction elements for shifting between different transmission steps, in a vehicle with at least one drive engine in which an actual value of at least one of the quantities characterizing the shift process is determined for each shift process, which actual value is compared with a theoretical value that can be established and stored. When the actual value deviates from the theoretical value, a regulated quantity for at least direct influencing is changed by a correction value that can be established. For each shift process, the time duration for the output of a gear shift signal up to the beginning of the synchronization process and/or the change of the drive rpm during this time period is determined as a first and/or second actual value of the quantity characterizing the process. When the time period up to the beginning of the synchronization process deviates from the pre-given theoretical time period or if the drive rpm change given in advance is not achieved after a shift process, the initial pressure value is changed by the correction value in order to introduce the necessary pressure force of the coupling components that can be coupled together in a force-interlocking manner.

    • The device for intermittently subjecting axially shiftable bits of a cutting head to the action of pressurized fluids comprises bit holders in which the bits are supported for a limited movement in axial direction. The bits are subjected to the action of a percussion piston which is intermittently supplied with pressurized fluid. A distributor 6 is provided for intermittently supplying pressure and includes a bushing-shaped distributing slide valve 18. The distributing slide valve 18 is provided in its mantle surface with radial perforations 22 which can be brought in alignment with passages 7 of a cutting head 3. There is provided an interpositioned gearing comprising a sun wheel 13, intermediate gear wheels 11 bearingly supported on a carrier 10 fixed for not being rotatable and a hollow gear wheel 15 non-rotatably connected with the cutting head 3. The bushing-shaped distributing slide valve 18 is non-rotatably connected with the sun wheel 13 being rotated in this manner by the cutting head 3, noting that the distributing slide valve 18 is rotated in a sense opposite to the sense of rotation of the cutting head 3. Supply of water is effected via an intermediate piece 20 into an axial water supply bolt 9 from which the water is intermittently supplied to the percussion pistons within the bit holders via the perforations 22 of the distributing slide valve 18.

    • In a cutting machine (1) comprising cutting heads (5) rotatably supported on a universally swivellable cutting arm (2) and having arranged therein a gearing stage (7), supply of water is effected via the outer front disc (8) of the cutting head and the water flows via passages provided within the interior of the main body (15) of the cutting head to nozzles provided at the circumference thereof. The water supply flows via an essentially axial bore (12) into a cavity of the main body (15) of the cutting head and is passed from this cavity via passages (21, 22, 23) to the nozzles (FIGS. 1,2).
