摘要： The invention relates to a water closet comprising a height-adjustable closet pan, for which a device is provided in order to be able to use the pan in both a sitting position as well as in a urinal position. The closet pan (Figure 5, (1)) is displaceably mounted on guide rails (14), which extend in an essentially vertical direction, and comprises a covering (1b) with a water closet seat (1a) that is pivotally fastened to the closet pan. The closet pan can be locked in two vertical positions, whereby one position serves for using the closet pan in the sitting position and the other position serves for using the closet pan as a urinal. The pan can be displaced once the covering and seat are lifted. The detent (28) of the closet pan in the sitting position is disengaged and the closet pan can be displaced on the guide rails and into the urinal position. A gas pressure damper (18), which engages with the closet pan in a non-positive manner is used for automatically displacing the closet pan. The closet pan can be motor-driven by means of a spindle drive (19, 21, 22) in order to return the closet pan to its initial position.
