Axial slots 2 at each end of the clip grip the securing flange 3 of a cover strip or trim 4 or 4'. In addition, shoulders 6, 8 may be used to grip parts of panelling etc. Thus, as shown in Fig. 2, an abutment 10 may hold a window or screen 12, or a U-shaped plastics section 15 may extend over the whole length of the clip and serve to secure a screen 12 between seals 18, 19 (see also Figs. 3, 4 and 5, not shown, in which some only of the shoulders 6, 8 are used). As shown in Fig. 6, the U-shaped section 28 may be secured to a batten or post 30 (or to an intermediate panel 27, Fig. 7, not shown) between two panels 26. Such battens may be secured together or to the added sections to provide angled screens (Figs. 8 and 10, not shown), or a special angled support 31 may be provided for this purpose as shown in Fig. 9, so that T, L or X-shaped structures may be made. The joints may be sealed by insulating strips (Fig. 10 not shown).

摘要： Assemblies of panel units are disclosed in which the joints between adjacent panel units incorporate a special key or clip used in conjunction with a complementary cover strip. The key or clip has at least one elongate plate portion or web of which one face carries a longitudinallyextending protruberance or rib, protruding centrally therefrom, formed with a longitudinal slot or channel having grooved or serrated internal side walls adapted to engage and interlock with complementary grooves or serrations of a spigot portion of the cover strip. Longitudinal slots or grooves are also provided adjacent the external side wall surfaces of the rib or protruberance and said face of the key or clip in order to receive edge portions of other associated panel assembly elements.
