    • Present methods of handling and storing containers have serious challenges in respect of space utilization, equipment utilization and random retrieval. All three factors do influence operation efficiency and economics. Further there is no end to end handling solution for handling and storing and all equipments work in isolation limiting the scope of automation. The invention aims at converting handling and storing from equipment based to system based design lending itself for end to end automation. This is achieved by splitting entire operations into sub operations at micro level, dedicating designed equipments for each operation and integrating with central system controller. The system has a multi-tiered structure to store containers, elevator assembly to move containers vertically, transfer module assembly to move containers to move 'along and transfer arm/power arm assembly to move across and buffering bay assembly to transfer from one point to other and transfer equipment assembly to load and unload containers and a central system controller to integrate all equipments for end to end automation.

    • Multi-level automated car parking system, of late, has been recognized as basic infrastructure in a developed City. The complications, cumbersome drives, absence of a proper handling system for the over-dimensional pellets and wilting under peak-hour pressures have contributed towards rendering the prior art systems incapable of effectively meeting the parking requirements. The present invention, therefore, is to overcome the drawbacks and disadvantages of the prior art systems and to offer a multi- level automated car parking system in which cars are stored into and retrieved from addressed slots automatically in a simple, practical, safe, speedy, reliable, user-friendly and cost-effective manner, in which the cars to be parked are simultaneously stored and retrieved cars are placed for simultaneous delivery as an arrangement to meet the challenges of the peak-hour demand and in which the over-dimensional platform carriers are automatically put into use when required and stack-piled when not in use. The specialty of the present invention is its interchangeability of its receiving and delivery sections, either fully or partly, to minimize irritating wait for the clients at peak hours, and its versatility to store cars either for parking or for delivery and to carry on with parking and retrieval without pressure and hassles.

    • A structure having floors for receiving and delivery of cars, and parking floors. Receiving and delivery floors have slat conveyors with platform carriers placed in slots in the conveyor. Cars are parked by patrons on the platform carriers. After the patron exits the car the conveyor conveys the carrier on which the car is parked to the front of an elevator. A power arm in the elevator draws the carrier into the elevator, and the elevator rises to a parking floor. On the parking floor the elevator power arm pushes the platform carrier with the car on top onto a waiting transfer module, which moves laterally to the front of an allotted parking slot. A power arm on the transfer module pushes the platform carrier with the car on top into the parking slot. Upon the patron's return the car is retrieved as described above but in reverse order.
