    • The invention relates to methods for cultivating living cells, especially mature fat cells, which are prepared from tissue and float in liquids. The cells, together with a liquid adhering medium acting as a distribution aid, are fist mounted to the cell culture base of a cell culture basin. The cells mechanically adhere to said base with increasing evaporation of the adhering medium. The adhering medium is subsequently added to the cells as an additional layer. The cells are stored under standard conditions for cell cultures for at least 12 hours, while at least some cells biologically adhere to the cell culture base. A technically simple and cost-effective method for cultivating cells on cell culture bases resulting in a high yield is thus provided with the aid of cell culture basins. The basis of, metabolic examinations for instance, in the pharmaceutical industry is provided by in-vitro cultivating individual cells according to the invention. Complicated and ethically dubious animal experiments are thus prevented or at least reduced to a minimum.
