    • The present invention provides an imaging element comprising on a support transparent to actinic radiation used for exposing said imaging element in the order given a photosensitive layer containing a photopolymerizable composition and a porous layer containing pigments characterized in that the weight ratio per unit area of said photosensitive layer to said porous layer is at least 1:1. According to the method of the present invention said imaging element is information-wise exposed to actinic radiation and subsequently heated in contact with a receiving element so that the non-hardened parts of the photosensitive layer and corresponding parts of the porous layer are transferred to the receiving element. After separation of the imaging element and receiving element the receiving element is overall exposed to actinic radiation and/or heat. An image with good scratch and wear resistance is thus obtained.
