    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance current interrupting performance by increasing generation of a gas from the surface of an insulation such as an arc chute, while increasing discharge of a hot gas by arcing. SOLUTION: The slit of the arc chute is extended in the direction facing the locus of a movable contact to form a gas exhausting passage, and one or more partition plates are provided in the gas exhausting passage on the almost same plane as the rotation plane of the movable contact or along its almost parallel plane. The sum of the widths of a plurality of slits formed by the partition plate provided in the gas exhausting passage is made equal to or larger than the width of the slit provided along the locus of the movable contact. From the wall surface of the slit provided along the locus of the movable contact till the wall surface of the gas exhausting passage having the partition plate, the wall surface is widen so as to form a taper shape.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-break switch capable of being miniaturized, excellent in the performance of breaking small electric currents such as exciting currents of a transformer. SOLUTION: An arc-extinguishing room part 14 has a narrow gap part 14b in which a narrow gap is formed along the locus of movement of a movable electrode 12, and an insertion opening 14c. A buffer room 22a of a buffer room part 22 communicates with the narrow gap part 14b via a gas passage part 21. The pressure inside the arc-extinguishing room part 14 is raised by the arc when the electric current is broken, though the pressure rise is moderated by the buffer action of the buffer room 22a. Hot gas accumulated in the buffer room 22a returns to the narrow gap part 14b when the pressure in the narrow gap part 14b is lowered, and is discharged from the insertion opening 14c. Therefore, sudden spouting of the hot gas from the insertion opening 14c can be prevented when the movable electrode 12 is pulled out of the insertion opening 14c, and the earth fault to a switch housing 1, that is the earth electric potential, can be prevented. Accordingly, the switch housing 1 can be miniaturized.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single lamp type road traffic signal with which three colors of red, blue and yellow can be selectively indicated with time limit and even a colorblind person can discriminate a signal as well. SOLUTION: This road traffic signal, which is to be mounted on an upper central position of a crossing, is a single lamp type road traffic signal equipped with one indication part respectively towards the roads to enter the crossing and with a rectangular box-shaped main body 1 and an LED display 2. The LED display 2 is formed by arranging a lot of dot display parts 21, which are attached on four peripheral wall surfaces of the main body 1 and can be illuminated in red, blue and yellow, in the shape of dot matrix. Concerning the LED display 2, a main display part having a fixed shape in the respective states of red, blue and yellow signals is displayed in each signal color and an auxiliary display part is displayed in each display color in the shape or at the position different for the respective red, blue and yellow signals.
