    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly cleaning a roll to be cleaned by smoothly rotating the roll at a fixed position.
      SOLUTION: Supporting stands 31 which support a to-be-cleaned roll at a bearing 4 at both their ends are arranged at positions sandwiching an ultrasonic vibrator 21. A receiving groove 32 on which the bearing for the roll is mounted is formed on the stands in the axial direction of the supported roll; a floating prevention piece 33 which covers the bearing for the roll and can be opened and closed is arranged at one end of the receiving groove; and a lock keeping the floating prevention piece in a closed state is disposed. A driving shaft 41 of a rotation driving mechanism is arranged so as to be (nearly) concentric with the roll on the supporting stands and allow connection of the roll to the driving shaft 41 through couplings 43 and 44. On mounting, the roll is supported at both ends on the supporting stands with the floating prevention piece opened; bearings at both ends are put on other end of the receiving groove of the supporting stands; bearings at both ends are moved to one end of the receiving groove; one end of the bearings is connected to the driving shaft with a coupling; the floating prevention piece is closed and locked; and bearings at both ends are held on both supporting stands.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for monitoring lubricating oil deterioration which is highly accurate, allows simple measurement, and achieves cost reduction for a wide range of oil types and a wide use environment.SOLUTION: A monitor device transmits a visible light beam from a single light source 3 through lubricating oil 1, and converts the visible light beam into an electric signal with a single light reception element 5 to detect the deterioration of the lubricating oil. A glass or resin filter 4 which has been coated for obtaining transmitted rays of light having a prescribed central wavelength and a half-value width is arranged between the light source 3 and the light reception element 5. Thus, it is possible to measure the transmitted rays of light with the width of the wavelength and accurately determine the degree of deterioration of the lubricating oil. That is, even when there is any variations in oil type and deterioration condition, the transmitted rays of light can be measured as a value that averages those variations. Also, it is possible to measure the transmitted rays of light with the single light source 3 and the single light reception element 5, and adopting a coating technology for the filter 4 enables less expensive manufacture of the device.

It is possible to perform measurements with a wide wavelength, and the degree of degradation of the lubricating oil is thereby accurately obtained. In other words, by performing measurements not with monochromatic light but with a wide wavelength, it is possible to measure transmitted light as a value obtained by averaging differences in oil type and the state of degradation even if these differences are present. Since it is additionally possible to perform measurements with a single light source and a single light-receiving element, the apparatus can be inexpensively manufactured.
