摘要： An improved target label for shooting that includes at least one toner layer defining an image of a target, superimposed over a colored substrate having a color different from the toner layer, and an ink layer underlying the toner layer. When a projectile strikes and penetrates the target, the ink and toner layer displaces and scatters over an area surrounding the point of penetration, exposing the underlying colored substrate layer. The scattering of toner particles visually resembles gun powder and visually simulates damage over an area wider than the point of penetration by the projectile.

The printed label is removed from the paper sheet to applying to the intended object to be labeled. Software can be implemented on a data processor for printing the boundary and/or coordinating the label printing with the printed boundary.

A registration structure is adjacent the label column. Each label can be partially folded into a raised position, and the item to be label placed adjacent the raided portions, such as using the registration structure to align the item. The raised portion is lowered and adhered to the item. The remainder of the label is then removed from the label assembly and folded to adhere to itself and/or the item to form an index label on the item.

摘要： An improved label assembly for a customizable gift box has a face sheet including a carrier portion, a label, and a tearable line of separation between the carrier portion and the label, and a back sheet removably joined to the face sheet. At least one removable appendage present in the carrier portion includes a first relatively narrow edge, a second relatively wider edge, and S-shaped side edges joining the first and second edges. The removal appendage can be applied to the sidewalls of a box blank to maintain the edges of the sidewalls on an adjacent position during installation of the label. The back sheet can also be provided with one or more foldable index tabs to help position the box relative to the label assembly during installation of the label.

The label further includes a second adhesive at least partially covering a back surface of the label. When the label is in a mounted position with respect to an object, the second adhesive contacts a surface of the object. Voids and/or openings within the label, or any part thereof, may be aligned with or over certain areas on a surface of an object to allow visual and/or physical access to such areas on the surface of the object.
