    • A rail system for an equipment rack includes a removable bracket on each rail of the system which can be exchanged between the rails to enable the rail system to be coupled between the posts of an equipment rack in multiple configurations. Each rail additionally includes a front bracket, a fixed center bracket, and a rear bracket. In one mounting configuration, the front bracket and the removable center bracket are coupled to a post of the equipment rack. In a second configuration, the removable center brackets of the rails are exchanged with one another so that the rail system can be mounted in a center mount configuration in which the removable center bracket and the fixed center bracket are mounted on opposite sides of the post. The rail system includes a rear bracket with cable management features.

    • An information handling system includes a rack operable to mount computer components therein. The rack includes multiple rack rails supported by a top support and a bottom support that define a rack space for housing components. The rack rails have both a first and second standard interface. The first standard interface facilitates the housing of components within a dedicated portion of the rack space while the second standard interface facilitates the housing of at least one component within a non-dedicated portion of the rack space. A component bracket is detachably coupled to a selected portion of the second standard interface of a rack rail. The component bracket supports a component within a portion of the non-dedicated portion of the rack space. The component bracket includes at least one hook and at least one latch mechanism that tool-lessly secures the component bracket to the second standard interface.

    • In present disclosure, a system and method are described for managing cables within a rack. In one aspect, a computer rack system for disposing one or more computers is disclosed that includes a rack that has a standard interface and a cable management assembly. The cable management assembly acts to secure cables connecting computer components housed within the rack system. The cable management assembly includes a rack connector, a first dual hinge assembly, a first arm, a second arm, and a component connector. The rack connector is formed to releaseably connect to the standard interface of the rack and the first dual hinge assembly is connected to the rack connector.

    • A cable management attachment bracket is disclosed that includes a bracket body with a first attachment tab, a second attachment, and a cable management assembly (CMA) connection point for hingedly connecting with a CMA. The first attachment tab extends from a front edge of the bracket body and is formed to interface with a first receiving portion of a rack slide. The second attachment tab extends from a center portion of the bracket body and is formed to interface with a second receiving portion of a rack slide. Additionally, the CMA connection point is formed on the rear edge of the bracket body.
