摘要： An apparatus and method for forming simulated wear patterns and designs in denim pants using laser rays. The apparatus includes an indexable carousel having a plurality of circumferentially spaced pant-supporting mandrels that are sequentially indexable to a plurality of stations located about the carousel, including a loading station, a laser station, and an unloading station. The mandrels each comprise articulated linkage that is selectively actuatable between a retractable condition that permits positioning of a pair of pants onto the mandrel at the loading station and an expanded condition that tautly supports the pants in predetermined position at the laser station such that a laser generated pattern can be formed at predetermined locations on the pants.

The original image is subjected to spatial frequency analysis so as to determine spatial frequency content thereof, and different regions of the original image are gamut mapped using different ones of the plural gamut mapping algorithms based on the spatial frequency analysis. Because the gamut mapping algorithm for any one regions is selected based on spatial frequency content of the region, the gamut mapping algorithm is tailored more specifically to image content of the region, yielding gamut-mapped images with higher perceived color fidelity and colorfulness.

摘要： A destacking/feeding system separates individual articles such as flat container blanks or trays nested in a stack. The destacking and feeding system comprises at least two pairs of opposed endless feed conveyor belts having respective vertical runs. The feed belts are spaced apart to grip opposite sides of the articles to feed them downwardly along a path to a second pair of belts or wheels which travel at a second, higher speed. The feed belts feed the stack of nested trays to the second, higher speed belts, which accelerate the lowermost articles and propel them downstream at the second speed. At the lower end of the second, higher speed conveyor, the articles are released and fall sequentially by gravity onto a waiting conveyor.
