    • A touch-sensitive device includes a touch panel, a drive unit, a sense unit, and a measurement unit. A touch applied to a node of the panel changes a capacitive coupling between two electrodes (a drive electrode and a sense electrode) of the touch panel. The drive unit delivers a drive signal, which may comprise one or more drive pulses, to the drive electrode. The sense unit couples to the sense electrode, and generates a response signal that includes a differentiated representation of the drive signal, which is then fed through a resistor. The amplitude of the response signal is responsive to the capacitive coupling between the electrodes, and is measured to provide an indication of a touch at the node.

    • A method and apparatus for providing a column driver circuit for an electroluminescent display panel including a column driver with a column driver including a direct analog interface with an input buffer with an input for accepting an external analog signal and an output for outputting an analog signal for said electroluminescent display panel. The buffer includes a polarity inverter and an adder for selectively inverting the external analog signal and adding a DC voltage. The column driver further includes an output demultiplexer, a plurality of sample and hold circuits, and an output driver employing negative feedback techniques for comparing the feedback signal to a preselected external variable voltage and selecting the appropriate drive signal.

    • A cathode ray tube employing magnetic deflection coils for deflecting the electron beam in the horizontal and vertical directions, is corrected for the astigmatism error created by the non-uniform magnetic deflection field which causes a predictable elliptical distortion of the electron beam, through the use of two sets of correction coils mounted on a common annular magnetic core located on the neck of the CRT, which distorts the electron beam prior to its entry into the magnetic deflection field in a manner that is complementary to the distortion created by the non-uniform magnetic deflection field.
