摘要： 15,451. Anderson, T. H. July 11. Shearing punching rolling. - Relates to a machine for cutting, punching, and separating the web from weldless chains, and making the chains pliable. Three pairs of rolls are mounted on shafts 23, 24 geared together and rotated in bearings adjustably mounted in a frame 1. The upper roll 7 of the first pair 7, 10 carries a cutter box, the upper roll 8 of the second pair 8, 11 carries punches, and the other pair of rolls 9, 12 are fitted with chisels. Guide-rollers, mounted in adjustable bearings and driven from the shaft 24, are arranged in front of each pair of rolls. The chain is passed through each pair of rolls, and is then turned through 90‹, the rolls are reversed, and the chain passed back again. In passing through the first pair of rolls, the outside web is removed by the cutters on the roll 7 ; in passing through the second pair, the inside web or fin is removed by the punches on the roll 8 ; in passing through the third pair, the links of the chain are nicked at the junctions by the chisels. The chain is then passed through an additional pair of rolls 15, 16 which serve to break or separate the links.

One axle is driven directly and the other axle, as a hang-on system, is coupled by way of the clutch. In order to create a method of controlling the shiftable clutch in a drive train between the front axle and the rear axle, and a corresponding system with an improved availability of the full four-wheel drive characteristic with a corresponding protection of the driving dynamics of the overall vehicle, the clutch is continuously acted upon by torque in an adjustable manner by way of a pilot control measure.

摘要： A fuel cell utilizing parallel flow of a hydrogen stream, an oxygen stream, and an electrolyte solution with respect to the electrodes, while maintaining mechanical support within the fuel cell. The fuel cell utilizes encapsulated electrodes to maintain a high air flow rate and low pressure throughout the fuel cell. The fuel cell is also designed to maintain mechanical support within the fuel cell while the electrodes expand and contract in response to the absorption of oxygen and hydrogen. Gas is predistributed by the compression plates and electrode plates to supply the electrodes with high concentrations of oxygen from air.

摘要： A hydrogen storage alloy active material for the anode of Ovonic instant startup/regenerative fuel cells. The active material includes a hydrogen storage alloy material with a water reactive chemical hydride additive, which, upon utilization of the active material in an anode of an alkaline electrolyte fuel cell, gives the anode added benefits, not attainable by using hydrogen storage alloy material alone. These added benefits include 1) precharge of the hydrogen storage material with hydrogen; 2) higher porosity/increased surface area/reduced electrode polarization at high currents; 3) simplified, faster activation of the hydrogen storage alloy; and 4) optionally, enhanced corrosion protection for the hydrogen storage alloy.
