    • A checker-arm chain lubricating apparatus is provided that efficiently and surely performs lubrication on a small-size chain and a chain traveling at high speeds. When a checker arm, oscillated by a chain, is returned by the force of a return spring, a cam face of a plunger activating cam fixed to a cam shaft together with the checker-arm operates a plunger of a pump unit via a cam follower to jet lubricant from a lubricating nozzle to the chain. The above-mentioned cam face is formed at a position radially deviated from the center of the cam shaft and the normal direction of the cam face is at generally right angles to the axis of the cam shaft. Consequently, the plunger can be rapidly operated by a small oscillation angle of the checker arm and efficient lubrication in synchronization with chain travel can be performed by a small amount of lubricant jetted from the lubricating nozzle at high speeds.

    • An oilless antifriction bearing capable of supporting a large load, not requiring maintenance work for lubrication and having high durability comprises an outer ring (1) having an outer-ring race, an inner ring (2) having an inner-ring race, a plurality of metallic rolling elements (3), and a plurality of polyethylene rolling elements (4). The polyethylene rolling elements (4) are interposed between the metallic rolling elements (3) to prevent the direct contact between the metallic rolling elements (3), making lubrication unnecessary. The polyethylene rolling elements allow free foreign matter including abrasive particles produced by the abrasion of the unlubricated steel cylindrical rollers and external dust particles to become embedded in the polyethylene to entrap the free foreign matter.

    • A conveyor chain using an oil impregnated sintered bushing is provided. The conveyor chain using the oil impregnated bushing is high in durability and low in manufacturing cost. A roller is rotatably fitted over the oil impregnated sintered bushing of the conveyor chain. An abrasion loss of the outer peripheral surface of the oil impregnated sintered bushing and an abrasion loss of the inner peripheral surface of the roller are reduced. Furthermore, both sliding noises and burning, which are normally generated between the roller and the oil impregnated sintered bushing, can be prevented. The conveyor chain, which uses an oil impregnated sintered bushing including a roller rotatably fitted over the oil impregnated sintered bushing, is characterized in that the oil impregnated sintered bushing has a sintering density in the range of from approximately 6.0 g/cm.sup.3 to 7.1 g/cm.sup.3. The conveyor chain is further characterized in that at least an inner peripheral surface of the roller is in contact with an outer peripheral surface of the oil impregnated sintered bushing and the outer peripheral surface of the oil impregnated bushing is formed of resin.
