    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for repelling rays, which effectively repels rays entering a clam fish farm of a shallow sea.
      SOLUTION: The apparatus for repelling rays comprises first electrode groups 5a arranged at fixed intervals on the sea bottom in a shellfish fishing ground section, second electrode groups 5b arranged facing between the electrodes adjacent to the first electrode groups and an electrical pulse generator 1 installed on land or on a mooring raft near a shellfish fishing ground. An output cable 4, led from the electrical pulse generator 1 disposed on land or a mooring raft, is connected to the electrode groups 5a and 5b in an energizing section 6. One of the first and the second electrodes is set as a positive electrode, and the other is set as a negative electrode. Electrical pulses of a DC or AC voltage is applied to the electrodes so as to repel rays. Electric shock is applied to rays entering the shellfish fishing ground, and feeding damages on shellfishes due to rays can be prevented or reduced without damaging the rays.
