摘要： Radiations detectors with angled walls and methods of fabrication are provided. One radiation detector module includes a plurality of sensor tiles configured to detect radiation. The plurality of sensor tiles have (i) top and bottom edges defining top and bottom surfaces of the plurality of sensor tiles, (ii) sidewall edges defining sides of the plurality of sensor tiles, and (iii) corners defined by the top and bottom edges and the sidewall edges. The radiation detector module also has at least one beveled surface having an oblique angle, wherein the beveled surface includes beveling of at least one of top or bottom edges, the side wall edges, or the corners.

摘要： A method and an apparatus is provided for conducting wireless data communications using whitespace and non-whitespace channels. A short-range base station with an interface for whitespace channels and another interface for non-whitespace channels communicates with user equipment outfitted with equivalent interfaces. The short-range base station has a preference for using the interface for the whitespace channels, where the whitespace channels are whitespace spectrum bands that are available during periods when a primary user is not actively utilizing the whitespace. A spectrum server analyzes spectrum occupancy database information and whitespace spectrum sensing measurements to determine lists of available whitespace spectrum bands for use by the short-range base station.

摘要： A method and apparatus is described for forming and using a stiffener for the production of thinned integrated circuits. In one embodiment, a handle can be bonded to an integrated circuit wafer before the wafer is thinned. Electrical couplings such as mounting balls can be attached to the wafer. Individual dice can be singulated from the wafer by dicing through the wafer and the handle, producing a wafer/handle assembly. The wafer/handle assembly can be mounted to a printed circuit board before the handle is de-bonded.
