摘要： An electrolyte sheet for solid oxide fuel batteries with mechanical strength characteristics is proposed. These characteristics may include a high and stable average value of strength, Weibull coefficient, and a high adhesion to an electrode formed on a surface thereof and hence inhibits the electrode from interfacial separation from the electrolyte sheet. The electrolyte sheet for solid oxide fuel batteries is characterized by having a plurality of concaves and/or convexes on at least one surface thereof, the concaves and convexes having base faces which are circular or elliptic or are a rounded polygon in which the vertexes have a curved shape with a curvature radius of 0.1 μm or larger and/or the concaves and convexes having a three-dimensional shape which is semispherical or semiellipsoidal or is a polyhedron in which the vertexes and the edges have a curved cross-sectional shape having a curvature radius of 0.1 μm or larger.

摘要： A multi-beam image recording apparatus changes a diameter of a laser beam using a beam diameter changing board, an order in which the line data is to be read from the memory unit, a rotational speed of a polygon mirror, and a clock frequency employed when the image data is read in units of pixels, in accordance with the specified resolution. Accordingly, the multi-beam image recording apparatus can switch between the resolutions without changing a distance between the centers of two laser beams emitted from an optical system. The resolution switching can be achieved with high accuracy at low costs.

摘要： A receptacle has an end surface supported along a plane extending at right angles to the axis of the receptacle and a contact surface at the other end. The contact surface also extends at right angles to the axis of the receptacle. A receptacle holder has a recess within which the receptacle is received. An adjusting mechanism is devised to adjust radial position of the receptacle. A lens holder is attached to the other end of the receptacle holder. A slide member has a sliding surface in surface contact with the contact surface of the receptacle. The slide plate is urged toward the one end of the receptacle so as to bring the sliding surface into contact with the contact surface of the receptacle. An optical fiber is inserted into the receptacle through a ferrule. If the optical fiber is twisted, the slide plate permits ready rotation of the receptacle in a torsional direction so as to prevent the optical fiber from being subjected to torsional stress. Also, opposite ends of the receptacle are gripped in surface contact and supported in a plane extending at right angles to the axis of the receptacle holder. This arrangement prevents inclination of the receptacle and thus, optical misalignment of the optical fiber and the lens if the weight of the optical fiber is applied.
