摘要： PURPOSE:To change the pressure in a vessel, and to execute impregnation or elimination of liquid into or out of a solid such as sand by fitting a rotary shaft provided with screw blades having smaller pitches toward the top end of the shaft freely rotatably to the inside of a cylindrical closed vessel. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary shaft 3 is rotated and sand and water are fed continuously from a hopper 5 and a water feeding pipe 7, respectively, the sand is transported toward left as a mixture with the water. But, since the pitch of the screw blades 2 is smaller toward the left side, the left side of the vessel is pressurized, therefore, the water diffuses into the inside of the sand and discharged from a discharging pipe 6. If the sand is sea sand, salt-contg. water is discharged by opening a water discharging pipe 8. If plural numbers of the screw blades are used, successive repetition of compression and decompression is possible. Thus, effective washing of sea sand with water is performed. By this method, changing pressure in a closed vessel is achieved without using a compressor or vacuum pump, so advantageous result is realized.
