    • A weft picking system for an air jet loom provided with a microcomputer as a controller. The weft picking system comprises a weft traction device including a pair of rollers one of which is driven by an inverter motor. A weft yarn fed from a weft measuring and storing device can be put between the rollers to be drawn toward a weft posture regulating nozzle. The weft posture regulating nozzle is arranged to project the weft yarn into the shed of warp yarns while regulating the posture of the weft yarn, under the influence of an air jet ejected therefrom and under assistance of air ejection from a plurality of sub-nozzles. The rollers are always driven to rotate during a weaving operation of the loom. A change-over device is provided to change the weft yarn from a first state of being put between the rollers to a second state of separating from the rollers or vice versa. The changing from the second state to the first state of the weft yarn is made after the starting of ejection of the fluid jet from the weft posture regulating nozzle in a weft picking cycle thereby preventing the weft yarn from being slackened in a location between the weft traction device and the weft posture regulating nozzle.

    • A weft picking system for an air jet loom is provided with a microcomputer as a controller. The weft picking system comprises a weft traction device including a pair of rollers, one of which is driven by an inverter motor. A weft yarn fed from a weft measuring and storing device can be placed between the rollers to be drawn toward a weft posture regulating nozzle. The weft posture regulating nozzle is arranged to project the weft yarn into the shed of warp yarns and regulates the posture of the weft yarn under the influence of air jet ejected from the nozzle and from a plurality of sub-nozzles. The rollers always rotate during a weaving operation of the loom. A change-over device is provided to change the weft yarn from a first state of being placed between the rollers to a second state of separating from the rollers or vice versa. A weft yarn slackened portion is unavoidably formed between the weft traction device and the weft posture regulating nozzle, due to a temporary difference in the tractive speed between the weft posture regulating nozzle and the weft traction device. A slackened portion deforming device is disposed between the weft traction device and the weft posture regulating nozzle to effectively deform the slackened portion in a manner to smoothen the slackened portion enough as to prevent any trouble in the weaving operation and any defects in the woven fabric.

    • A webbing drive apparatus for an automatic seat belt apparatus in which a webbing is automatically fitted around an occupant by driving one end of the webbing which comprises a screw plate with which one end of a wire for driving the webbing is engaged and which has portions for contact with a drum so as to be rotated through the contact portions by the rotational force of the drum. It is as well as moved in the direction of the rotational axis of the drum, whereby the wire is spirally wound around the drum. Each of the contact portions have a bent portion which is bent substantially at right angles with respect to the rotational direction of the drum.     • In a jet weaving loom having a frame, a reed holder pivotally movable relative to the frame in the downstream and upstream directions with respect to the motion of the warp threads, a jet nozzle mounted on the reed holder to move therewith and ejecting the weft thread into the shed of the warp threads by the jet action thereof, and a weft gripper secured to the frame for selectively gripping and releasing the weft thread advancing toward the jet nozzle, so that when the reed holder moves in the downstream direction toward a first extreme position, the beating and the weft cutting are carried out, and when the reed holder moves in the upstream direction and comes to a second extreme position, the weft picking is actually carried out, there is provided a weft pull-back device which catches the weft thread extending between the weft gripper and the jet nozzle when the reed holder is positioned in the vicinity of the first extreme position, and holds the same for a predetermined period of time when the reed holder moves in the upstream direction toward the second extreme position after completing the beating and the weft cutting.
