摘要： The semiconductor device of the present invention includes a first interconnection, a via-plug that is connected to the first interconnection, and a second interconnection that is formed as a single unit with the via-plug. The cross-sectional shape of the via-plug is such that the plug sidewall angle, which indicates the angle of the via-plug sidewall with respect to the surface of the first interconnection, is a positive angle; and moreover, at least two points exist between the base and the top of the via-plug on at least one sidewall of the two sidewalls of the cross-sectional shape of the via-plug at which the plug sidewall angle attains a maximum value. Since shapes that would give rise to the occurrence of concentrations of stress are not formed in the via-plug sidewalls, metal is more effectively embedded in the via-hole, and the incidence of voids is prevented.

摘要： A hand-held display apparatus including a body which is gripped by a user's hand, and an interface to output image data. A display is also provided which displays an image received from the interface and vertically inverts the image in response to a vertical inversion signal. The device also includes a plurality of sensors, which are to be manipulated by a user's hand, and are disposed in proximity to the display symmetrically around a horizontal axis in relation to the display section. A processor is also provided which outputs the vertical inversion signal and reverses the functionality of at least one of the plurality of sensors.

摘要： A teaching machine is used with a card to pose a question to a user of the machine and to accommodate both a first case wherein a voice signal is audibly reproduced before the user enters his answer to the question into the machine and a second case wherein a voice signal is audibly reproduced after the user enters his answer into the machine. The machine includes a signal reproducer that cooperates with a card upon which a control signal, a correct-answer signal encoding a correct answer to the question and a voice signal are recorded and that reproduces the recorded signals from the card. A user of the machine enters a test answer to the question into the machine via a keyboard. A first memory responds to the correct-answer signal as reproduced by the signal reproducer for storing the correct answer, and a second memory responds to the keyboard for storing the test answer. A comparator responds jointly to the first and second memories for comparing the correct answer and the test answer and producing an output signal in accordance with the comparison. Lamps responsive to the comparator output signal indicate whether or not the test answer is correct. An audio channel jointly responsive to the control signal and the voice signal as reproduced by the signal reproducer audibly reproduces the voice signal before making the comparison in the first case and after making the comparison in the second case.
