    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial joint structure capable of quantitatively and three-dimensionally measuring and evaluating the balance of soft tissues on the inner side and outer side of an artificial joint by converting the operation of replacement of the artificial joint depending on the experience, intuition and subjectivity of an operator to the operation based on objective and highly reliable data. SOLUTION: In the artificial joint structure, a joint in which ends of a first bone and a second bone are combined for the bending and stretching motions is replaced with an artificial joint. The artificial joint includes a first component coupled to the first bone side, and a second component coupled to the second bone side. The first component and the second component are configured to rotate and make joint motions as curved faces of both components are brought into contact with each other. One of the first or second component has a substitute component which can be substituted to be incorporated, and a plurality of sensors for measuring loads applied from the periphery when incorporated are disposed at prescribed positions in the substitute component.     • A controller with a buffer is provided between a main memory and an external storage. This controller supplies a given request for access to the external storage and issues a preload request for a retrieval extent of the next access request by the time when data associated with this first access request is completely transferred to the buffer memory or to the main memory. Moreover, the controller stores the preloaded data in the buffer and, for the next access request, it transfers the data stored in the buffer to the main memory. Therefore, even when the host side (CPU) is processing, the access to the external storage can be made simultaneously, thus the response time and the operating ratio of the computer system being improved.
