    • The optical receptacle according to the present invention is attached to a printed board and an optical plug can be connected thereto. The optical receptacle comprises a tubular main housing and a socket housing which is inserted into and attached to the main housing. The main housing has an elastic locking part which protrudes from the outer circumference surface and locks onto the printed board, and the socket housing has a locking slotted pin which protrudes from the outer circumference surface and locks onto the printed board. This optical receptacle is attached to the printed board after the two pieces, the main housing and the socket housing, are assembled. As a result, the construction of the optical receptacle can be simplified because ground pins become unnecessary. Additionally, the optical receptacle can be easily attached to a printed board because it does not have to be welded onto the printed board with the ground pins.

    • A sliding member is disposed on one wing of the concave portion to advance and retreat in directions parallel to insertion and ejection of a card, and formed a heart-shaped cam groove. The base-end side of the leaf spring is fastened to the sliding member; the other end projects toward the opening of the concave portion. A compressed-coil spring applies a biasing force on the sliding member in a direction of card ejection. One end of the guide rod is coupled to the heart-shaped cam groove; the other end is pivotably supported on the housing. The sliding member has an engaging piece that touches an oblique side formed on a side surface of the card, and the leaf spring has a semi-circular claw that moves in and out of a surface of the card at a substantially square concave portion, thereby resiliently engaging the concave portion.

When the cover is closed, a pressure portion disposed along one edge of the cover is clamped between a flexible printed board on a resilient piece of a fork-shaped contact and a fixing piece of the contact while pressing the flexible printed board against the resilient piece.
