Vessels modified for unloading; trimming- apparatus.-Relates to apparatus for unloading ships in which a casing enclosing an elevator passes through the holds, the casing being provided with sliding or removable doors, and the elevator being fed by supplementary conveyers. Fig. 1 shows the arrangement of the elevator, the holds having depressions A , A leading thereto. The casing B has a number of doors B on the upper face, which are slid upwards one by one, commencing at the upper end, and secured by pins B , Fig. 3. The elevator is formed with a fixed part and an extensible part E capable of being projected, as shown in dotted lines in Fig. 1, by a rack F and pinion F. The part E is provided with a hinge-joint E to allow the drum D to overhang the side of the vessel. The conveyer for bringing material from remote parts of the hold, Fig. 5, is passed around three tumblers H, H , H carried by collars slidably adjusted along rods K. The rods K are carried by collars swivelled to other collars L vertically adjustable upon stanchions J. The tumbler H is driven from a pinion H by flexible shafting from the elevator. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 13,216/98.

摘要： A system for mounting in a vehicle and for providing a control signal to a remote device based on information stored in a portable electronic device includes a radio frequency transmitter for transmitting a control signal to the remote device. The system also includes a first circuit configured to receive first information from the portable electronic device via inductive-coupling between the portable electronic device and the first circuit when the portable electronic device is brought within the induction field of the first circuit. The system also includes a second circuit configured to use the first information received from the portable electronic device and to at least one of format the control signal in accordance with the first information and to cause the radio frequency transmitter to format the control signal in accordance with the first information.

The plating solution, which is used for forming a layer of palladium on a surface of a substrate, yields a substantially pure palladium deposit on the substrate. Precipitation of reduced palladium in the plating solution is substantially prevented.
