    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a handrail by keeping handrail property stable at all times and simplify the manufacturing process by the use of a thermoplastic elastomer by a method wherein a decorative rubber layer is provided on an outer layer except the lower end part side of a core body formed by filling a rubber layer in a tubular body, which is prepared by forming a thick woven fabric into a tubular shape with a C-like sedtion. SOLUTION: A tension body is arranged near at the center of a tubular body 1, which is made of a thick woven fabric 1a into a tube. Next, by continuously adhering a certain fixed amount of rubber to the inside of the tubular body 1, a rubber layer 2 is formed. Next, during the period that the fluidity of an extruded rubber is kept, by shaping the section of the rubber into a C-shaped form, a core body A is produced. In this case, it is important that no gap is left in the rubber layer 2 within the core body. Next, a decorative rubber 3 covers the outside of the core body A. As the covering method of the decorative rubber 3, a method for fixing by pressure with a press, a coveringly fixing method by pressure with an extrusion molder or the like is employed. In order to continuously manufacture a handrail, the employment of a thermoplastic elastomer is preferable.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure operation at the time of rising in the internal pressure, by providing a level difference portion, which is directed upwards, at the peripheral portion of an upper lid, and making the gap between the boundary portion formed by the upper surface of the level difference portion and that formed by the lower surface of the level difference portion smaller than the thickness of the upper lid material. CONSTITUTION:A level difference 1a is upwardly provided at the peripheral portion of an upper lid 1, an accumulator casing 2 is fitted in the under side of the level difference portion 1a, and a welding portion 100 is formed from side by means of a laser solvent to provide a hermetical sealing. At this time, the level difference portion 1a is formed by pressing, and the dimension of the gap between the boundary portion of the upper surface of the level difference portion and that of the lower surface of the level difference portion can arbitrarily be set through adjustment of the mold at the time of pressing. When the dimension is made smaller than the thickness of the material of the upper lid 1, a rapid increase in the internal pressure causes the thin-walled portion to be cracked and opened, whereby exhaust is effected. Thus, even if the internal pressure is rapidly increased, the operation is surely carried out to prevent the bursting.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a battery from being fired or broken in the event of internal shortcircuits and minimize the damage of the battery by stacking a metallic film and a positive electrode- active material on the plastic film of a positive electrode plate, and also providing a fuse portion at one part of the metallic film. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode plate 3 is fabricated by depositing a metal film 3b on the base of a plastic film 3a having a notched portion 3f, then removing one part of the metallic film 3b by means of patterning, forming a current collecting portion 3c and a fuse portion 3d, and applying a rechargeable positive electrode active material 3e onto the metallic film 3b. During discharge lithium is ionized and dissolved from a negative electrode plate 4 into an electrolyte with which a separator 5 is impregnated, and combines with the positive electrode active material 3e of the positive electrode plate 3; during charging the positive electrode active material 3e is dissociated from the lithium and the lithium is released as lithium ions into the electrolyte and deposited on the negative electrode plate 4 and the process of charging and discharging the battery is repeated. Even if the internal shortcircuit between the positive electrode plate 3 and the negative electrode plate 4 occurs as the lithium deposited on the negative electrode plate 4 takes the form of dendrites (trees) and breaks through the separator 5, the fuse portion 3b provided to the positive electrode plate is welded by excess current caused by the short-circuit current, so preventing subsequent current flow from other positive and negative electrode plates.
