    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of slip phenomenon wherein a front frame is reversely pulled back when a tail frame is advanced. SOLUTION: This hydraulic circuit for an opening shield machine is formed such that messer cylinders 200 and 300 arranged at a front frame are expanded and a messer is advanced, thereafter, the messer cylinders 200 and 300 are contracted and the front frame is advanced, and a frame coupling cylinder 600 to couple together the front frame and the tail frame is expanded, and by contracting the frame coupling cylinder 400, the tail frame is advanced. In this case, a PT connection circuit block type valve is used in switching valves 202 and 302 to effect switching of expansion and contraction by feeding pressure oil to the messer cylinders 200 and 300. A cut valve 700 is located in the middle of a hydraulic circuit to communicate together the messer cylinders 200 and 300 and the frame coupling cylinder 600. When the frame coupling cylinder 600 is contracted, pressure oil in the messer cylinders 200 and 300 is bled to prevent the occurrence of expansion.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to execute excavation work without having any restriction on size of buried substance by providing struts only between front sections of frame bodies forming a tail frame of a mesail shield machine, and forming the tail frame in a U-shaped plane. SOLUTION: A mesail shield machine is so constituted that a rigid front frame 10 and a tail frame 20 are connected with a plurality of intermediate jacks 30, and the front mesails 40 and tail mesails 41 are arranged to both sides of each of frames 10 and 20 in a slidable manner. The tail frame 20 crosses a plurality of vertical column materials and a plurality of reinforced materials to form frame bodies 25 and 25 for bearing the tail mesails 41, a plurality of struts 26 are arranged only between the frame bodies 25 and 25, and it is formed in a U-shaped plane. Earth pressure acting on the frame bodies 25 and 25 is borne on the struts 26, there is no strut between the the frame bodies 25 and 25 opposed to each other, and a buried substance A is hung down in a hanging space 27 opened upward and downward. Even if the height of the buried substance A exceeds the vertical length of the tail frame 20, exaction can be carried out.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of large size in a shield machine and improve the steering performance thereof by arranging intermediate jacks connecting both frames in an open chevron form, and acctaching the midway of each jack to a frame through universal connection tools. SOLUTION: A front frame 10 and a tail frame 11 are connected by intermediate jacks 12, 12, and a front mesail 15 and tail mesail 16 are arranged slidably at sides of both the frames 10, 11. Pressure jack is arranged between the respective mesails 15, 16 and the respective frames 10, 11. The intermediate jacks 12, 12 are arranged in an open chevron toward the excavation direction, and the midway thereof is attached to the front frame 10 through universal connection tools 22, 22. Accordingly, even if the intermediate jacks 12 have a long stroke, the shield machine is not made large streered with a small radius of curvature. With the horizontal commponent of force generating in the intermediate jack 12, curve work is made smooth.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the construction of a communicating tube and movement of the tube to the next construction place in a narrow place by titling a slide base having a driving shaft propulsion means and a driving shaft rotating means in the longitudinal direction and in the lateral direction. SOLUTION: A driving shaft 2 is inclined with a required gradient by forward and backward inclining cylinders 7, 8 to drill a mantle steel pipe until it reaches an underground pipe. If necessary, the driving shaft 2 is inclined in the lateral direction by a right and left inclining cylinder 5 to execute works. When the construction of the communicating pipe is completed, the construction device is moved to the next place by a hydraulic power shovel 9.
